This meet is intended to be a time-efficient weekday meet. Since we do not have school on 4/7 for Good Friday, we will begin field events at 10:00 For that reason, we are limiting entries to 4 athletes per open event.
Field events will consist of shot put, discus, long jump, and high jump. No triple jump. Open events will include everything except the 3200m. Relay events will be thrower's 4x100m, distance medley relay (1200, 400, 800, 1600), sprint medley relay (100, 100, 200, 400), 4x1, and 4x2. No 4x800. This should be a FUN meet that gives athletes an opportunity to compete.
Entry Fee is $50.00 per team. $100 for both women's and men's teams. B/C Teams allowed with an additional fee. Please make checks out to Oakland High School Track. We will accept checks on the day of the meet, OR you can mail them ahead of time to ATTN: Carol Keener, 2225 Patriot Drive, Murfreesboro, TN 37130.
$5 gate fee for everyone school aged and up. We will accept cash and cards.
A false start will be a disqualification.
Athletes will not be allowed on the infield unless being escorted by a clerking official.
Athletes should report to the clerk of course to check in after the first call has been given. This will be a table over by the guest bleachers. Be sure your athletes have used the restroom and have everything they need to race when they check in, so they do not have to leave the staging area. We cannot wait for athletes who are not in staging when their group has been escorted to the start line.
Teams can set up their tents on the practice football field behind the home bleachers. This will also be the area where athletes can warm-up.
We will have concessions and food trucks.
Order of Events
Field Events - Will begin at 10:00
300m Hurdles - Will begin at 10:15 - Athletes will return to field events after they run.
DMR - Will run immediately after the 300m Hurdles.
100/110m Hurdles - Will begin at 11:30 - All other events to follow - rolling schedule
