ABOUTTHE GREAT 8
Since 2000, the Great 8 Invitational has hosted the best high school track and field athletes in Middle Tennessee and provided them an opportunity to go head-to-head in competition! There is only one section/flight of each event with only the best eight performances accepted into this elite meet.

REGISTRATION/ENTRYINFORMATION
Meet entries must be submitted online at Tennessee MileSplit at the following address:https://great8.milesplit.com. Entries will not be accepted via mail, fax, or email.
Entries must be actual performances (no splits or predicted marks) from a 2022 outdoor meet, and all marks must be verifiable on MileSplit. Unverifiable marks will be rejected. Only FAT marks will be accepted. ENTRY DEADLINE IS:2:00PM on SUNDAY APRIL 24.
If two or more athletes' seed marks are tied, preference will be given to the athlete with the superior second best performance. Each athlete will only be allowed to compete in a maximum of two individual events, excluding the 4x100m relay and 4x400m relay. (An athlete may be entered into two individual events and one or both relays).
DECLARATION DEADLINE IS: 12:00noon on TUESDAY, APRIL 26. Preliminary entry information will be distributed by Monday April 25 at 6:00 PM. Coaches must declare their athletes/relays by the Tuesday deadline. Updates will be posted on the Tennessee MileSplit website.
If an athlete scratches from an event after the final accepted lists have been published, they will be scratched from the meet and will not be allowed to compete in any subsequent events. The no scratch rule will be enforced retroactively. This rule will be strictly enforced.
FINAL INVITATIONS (heats/flights) will be posted on by 6:00 PM on TUESDAYAPRIL 26, including the three alternates for each event. Alternates will be added to the competition if any of the top eight are not able to compete. Alternates need to be sure to check-in and be ready to compete.
Entry fee is $30 per athlete per event and $50 per relay team. You may pay by Venmo or check. If paying by check, make checks payable to "Great 8". Coaches, entry fees must be paid before an athlete is eligible to compete. Alternates must also have entry fees paid in advance. Refund0 swill be issued promptly for alternates who checked in but were not selected to compete.
Great8 t-shirts will be awarded to the winner of each event.

Qualifying Marks from 2022 Outdoor Season Only.
Entries close Sunday April 24th at 2:00 PM.
Facility will open at 4:30 PM
Field events will start at 5:30 PM
Running events will start at 6:00 PM
Parking on campus is limited. Please plan your arrival time accordingly.
