Park on the west side of the track (off of Blackwell Street).  Place team tents on concrete patio near track entrance (over picnic tables if you like).  Bring weights for tents (wind).  Water source is available if you want to hold down your tents with 5-gallon buckets and bungie cords.  Family tents for spectators on the inside or outside of track are welcome in order to maintain social distance. Tents must be 15 feet apart.

Mixed Boys and Girls Heats

When in doubt, place your runner in the slower heat so that they will be up front (and will not get lapped)

COVID19

Safety Protocol

This plan applies to everyone physically at the race venue,

including race particpants, coaches, spectators, and volunteers. The protocol

have been developed in order to protect the health of everyone involved.

 

All attendees must follow these guidelines exactly.  We ask anyone not willing to follow the

guidelines to not attend the event.
Additional guidelines and/or protocols may be added before race

day.

Follow these instruction on the race website:

      STAY HOMEif you have had any COVID19 related symptoms: fever or chills,

cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body

aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny

nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea. (

      STAY HOMEif you have had close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19.

General

      All Officials, Staff, and

Volunteers are required to wear face coverings upon arrival and at all times

while they are on site.In addition,

all of the areas where Officials, Staff, and Volunteers are staged will allow

for 6 feetof spacing.

      All attendees are required to

wear face coverings upon arrival and at all other times unless one of the

following exceptiong applies:

        • Racer is physically warming up for a race
        • Racer is walking to the starting line (when called to the

          line)
        • Racer is in process of racing
        • Racer is physically warming down from a race

      Family groups must maintain 12

feet of distance from other attendees.Family groups are encouraged to bring a tent and set it up 12 feet or

more from all other tents.

      All coaches must bring hand

sanitizer and water (or other sealed drink bottles) for their team members. No

water stations will be provided.

      Anyone yelling, cheering, singing, or speaking loudly, must be

separated at least 12 feet apart.

      Race officials and volunteers will be

instructed not to share any equipment.

 

Temperature Checks and Screening Questions:

 

Runners,

Spectators, Officials, and Volunteers

Before

entering the facility, all coaches and runners will have their temperatrure

taken
with a non-contact infrared thermometer and will be asked to respond to

the screening questions.If a person

answers yes to any one of the questions or has a temperature above 100.3 F,

that person will not be allowed to enter the facility and will be directed to

seek medical care and/or COVID-19 testing.

 

Screeing Questions:

1. Have you been in close contact with a confirmed case

of COVID-19 in the past 14 days? (Note: This does not apply to medical

personnel, first responders, or other individuals who encounter COVID-19 as

part of their professional or caregiving duties while wearing appropriate PPE.)

2. Are you experiencing a cough, shortness of breath or

sore throat?

3. Have you had a fever in the last 48 hours?

4. Have you had new loss of taste or smell?

 

Signs

      A sign will

be placed prominenetly at the one entrance that instructs all people not to

enter the area if they can answer yes to any of the screening questions listed

on the sign (see above for screening questions).

      The sign states

the requirement for mask to be used and to maintain six feet of social

distancing, .

 

Team Staging

      Each team

will arrange it's team area so that it is no less than 15 feet from another

team's area.

      Each team

must wear face coverings in it's team area unless preparing to warm-up, race,

or warm-down.

      Coaches must

ensure that team members and any parents maintain a minimum of 6 feet of

spacing in their team's area.

Start Line

      Each race

will limited to 30 racers

      Teams will be

called to the starting line 3 minutes before the race starts.Before this time, teams will not be allowed

to congregate at the start line, but will be given warnings via loud speaker to

gather as a team in preparation.

Finish Line

      Runners will

be encouraged to leave the finish line area as soon as possible after

completion of their event.

 

Results and Awards

      There will

not be an awards ceremony or any awards.

 

Contact Tracing:

Race Officials have access to contact

information for the coaches of all participating teams as well as contact

information for all Officials and Volunteers.
If anyone in the race tests positive for COVID-19 after the event,

Officials will contact coaches whose team attended about the positive COVID-19

occurrence.Those coaches will notify team members and

attendees about the positive COVID-19 occurrence.
