ROSE OF KIRK ACADEMY OPENS BEST PR AT MEMPHIS Sep 01, 2019

Chase Rose Junior at Kirk Academy is on a mission this year and that is to test his talents farther and harder than his previous XC Season in 2018.   Chase suffered an injury in 2018 that cut his XC Season short coming back strong for his Track and Field Season and opening up with a terrific PR of 16:47 at Memphis placing him around the Top 2 XC Runner in the State  of MS behind Walt Johnson whom he ran against during Track and Field at the Ole Miss Invitational where he edged Walt our slighlty for the Mile Win.    Chase is one to watch this year and the favorite based on season opener for overall MAIS XC Runner.

Walt Johnson showed what it takes to be the #1 XC Runner in the State of MS Saturday night at the City Auto Memphis Twilight with a 14th place finish medaling for the first time at the Memphis Twilight.   His goal is to break 16 minutes this year and so far he is on track.

City Auto Memphis Twilight was a success for many Mississippi Varsity Girl Runners from many schools throughout Mississippi. This year over 263 Varsity Girls Competed in the 5k Twilight with 13 Mississippi Varsity Girls placing in the Top 100 as this was the first Season Open for many runners. Lydia Snopek of MRA was the Top placement for MS Varsity Runners followed by Shelby Dean, Everett Heard, Abi Benton, Savannah Mcintosh, Laurel Fulcher, Sloan Vinson, bella hamilton, Evelyn Odwyer, Meagan Henry, Mdalynn Pitts, Emma Livingston, and Lauren Anne Smith placing in the Top 100.

City Auto MEMPHIS TWILIGHT Girls Middle School XC Classic by BoKnowsMortgages Aug 31, 2019

3 Mississippi Runners competed in the Girls Middle School that were in the Top 25 our of 143 Runners from many neighboring states. These competing runners make of some of the fastest Middle School Athletes in the Southeast. Olivia Patricia Smith of Jackson Prep finished 5th followed by Charley Rose of Kirk Academy in 20th and Faith Taylor of Clinton Public School finishing 21st.
