Field Event Minimum for Measure/Starting Marks (girls/boys)
NOTE: These are not minimum marks for ENTRY but minimum marks for MEASUREMENT; no minimum marks for entry
minimum/starting marks may be adjusted during coaches meeting
a courtesy measurement may be requested immediately prior to final attempt if previous attempts fell short of minimum mark
Shot Put: 20/30
Discus: 60/80
Long Jump: 12/16
Triple Jump: 20/30
High Jump: 44/54
Pole Vault: 6/7
Field Event Attempts and Marking:
Athletes will be permitted 3 attempts for Shot Put, Discus, Triple Jump, and Long Jump.
Athletes will be permitted 3 attempts per height for High Jump and Pole Vault.
In Shot Put and Discus, all throws will be marked, and after the first throw the markers will be moved if subsequent throws are better. Only the longest mark will be measured after each flight has completed three attempts.

Event Restrictions:
Athletes may participate in a maximum of 4 events, including relays.
Each team may have a maximum of 3 girls and 3 boys in each gender event.
Each team may run 1 girls team and 1 boys team in each gender relay event.
Scoring: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 (individual and relay events)
Coaches' Responsibilities:
games committee (select coaches)
officiate field events
judge relay exchange zones
curve spotters for 4x400, 4x800, and 1600
Perks:
CCS adult volunteers will help run each event
Fully Automated Timing will be used for all races
results will be posted periodically throughout the meet

top three teams in each gender division awarded a shot/disc carrier and a gold, silver, or black baton reflecting finish place
Miscellaneous:
Coaches should submit scratches and substitutions for the running events to the clerk between 3:30-4:15. Scratches and substitutions for field events will be made at the site. No additions will be allowed.
Please use 1/4 inch spikes or shorter.
Implements that do not weigh in properly will be impounded until completion of throwing events.
Vaulters will be weighed in prior to the event. Vaulters will not be allowed to use a pole in competition unless it is rated for a weight equal to or higher than their own.
Tents may be pitched along the fence line, along the highest level of bleachers, and in the field adjoining the long/triple jump pits.
Infield reserved for coaches and athletes warming up.
Spectators may not stand/sit on track at any time but may gather near all field event venues, so long as boundary markers are observed.
