Letter from Race Director

Letter from Race Director:

We apologize for not having a complete listing of finishing places and
times. The timing system that was detecting the finish times from your
electronic chip was discovered unplugged after the race started due to lack
of barricades around the timing system and crowd control. I have spoken with
the security company, barricade company and timing company and all of us
were caught off guard by the amount of people who showed up.

We have spent the last few days trying to recover as much as possible and
were only able to recover the top three finishers in each age group. If you
are a top three finisher in your age group you will have a race medal
waiting for you at Fleet Feet.

Team Magic and myself sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Being
runners, we know how important it is to get your time.

The good news out of this issue is that the timing company is not being paid
the original agreed fee, and has agreed to donate that money back to the
charity, Prevent Child Abuse of Tennessee.

My personal promise to all of you is that all the kinks will be fixed by
next year and that this race will continue to get bigger and better and
quickly put Nashville on the map of creative and competitive road races.

From all the positive feedback I have gotten, I know the good course, fun
atmosphere; costumes, free drinks and prizes were a hit.

Again, from one runner to another I apologize and trust me, when I say this!
We will be overly prepared next year to handle the large amount of people.

Road Race Pictures:

It will be a week or so to get all the pictures together and post them on
the website. I heard there were a lot of amazing pictures and everyone along
the course were having so much fun. I can\'t wait to see the pictures. Keep
checking back at the website for updates on fun pictures.

Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Emmit Martin

Your Race Director,
Emmit Martin
