Meet Information

Dates: Monday, May 6 and Tuesday, May 7

COACHES-
Due to the heavy rains and with the threat of more this afternoon, our throwing areas, especially, are too wet to compete. We are moving today's field events and 3200 to Wednesday. Same times. The Rain Plan is in effect.


RAIN PLAN:
We will make a decision about Field Events on Monday. It will be no later than 12 Noon EST/11 AM CST. We want to be careful and not cancel now in case the weather changes. If there is a disruption because of the weather, we will leave Tuesday as it is with the running events and move all Monday's field events and 3200 to Wednesday, May 8.

Coaches meeting - 3:30 EST each day

Pole Vault at 2:00 EST - Girls then Boys.

All other Field Events - 4:00 EST
Girls Discus then Shot
Boys Shot then Discus
Girls Long Jump then Boys
Boys Triple Jump Then Girls
Girls High Jump then Boys

3200 - 5:00 EST (Girls then Boys)

Running Events starting with 100/110 Hurdles - 4:00 EST

*** Please observe the Event Minimum Standards ***
Maximum 3 per Individual Event/1 Relay per School per Event

* ENTRY FEE- $20 per gender team- $40 per school for both genders. This is to help pay for timing, TSSAA official, and security.


* The top 4 people and relay teams in each event will advance to the Section 2 AAA Meet on May 14 at Rhea County.


* You must register online to register your teams and athletes. Make sure to click on the south Sub-Sectional link on section 2. If you manually enter a seed time to get in the meet, they will be seeded according to the verifiable performances only.


* Entries must be received by 5-2-13 at 12:00 pm. There is a $50 per day late fee that must be paid in full prior to being entered into the meet.


* Coaches must work a field event.


* There will be no preliminary races. Section versus time.


* There will be a $5 admission for all. Ten and under will be free.


The following field events will be run by the given team's coaches:
Shot put = Coffee Co/McMinn Co.
Discus = Cumberland Co./Warren Co.
Long Jump = Walker Valley/White Co.
Triple Jump = Ooltewah/Bradley
Pole Vault = Bradley/Rhea
High Jump = Cleveland/Cookeville
Timing = Walker Valley

Coaches meeting, (2012 Notes)
1. Rhea Co. will be the 2013 meet host for sub-sectional.
2. Meet will be non-scoring (no awards)
3. Meet will be two days, boys on one day- girls on the other.
4. 2013 meet will have minimum marks, and must have verifiable performances.
