13th Annual Collierville Dragon Relays
Friday and Saturday, April 19-20, 2013
Site: Collierville High Schools track is located behind Collierville Elementary School at 590 Peterson Lake Road in Collierville, TN 38017.
See attached directions.
Facility: The track is seven all-weather lanes. 1/4 spikes only.
Entry fee: $150 per school ($75 for men / $75 for women) Checks payable to Collierville High. Payment may be made on 4/20, but no pay--no play.
Spectators: $7.00 per day / concession stand available
Entry Deadline: (Please let me know ASAP if you are planning to join us.)
Entries will be made on line at http://www.tn.milesplit.us/ by 2:00pm
Wed., April 17th. Look for the Collierville Dragon Relays tab.
Absolutely no entries will be accepted after the deadline.
Limits: Only 3 entries per event and one relay per team
We will enforce NFHS 4 event limitation per athlete.
Schedule: See Attached.
Teams: Open Invitation to all schools recognized by the NFHS and TSSAA
Format: All races are section versus time except the sprints that have prelims
on Friday. Top 7 will run Saturday. All races on Sat. are finals.
Horizontal jumps and throws will have 4 attempts. Flights to be determined by the entries. Vertical heights to be determined after reviewing entries.
Awards: Nice team trophies for top three boys and girls teams with most outstanding male and female athlete as well as a most outstanding performance of the meet. Medals to top three. T-shirts to the event champion.
Timing: FINISHLYNX FAT
Rules: All NFHS rules apply. A jury of appeals to be named at coaches meeting.
Check in: Heats will be set and printed with copies available to all. The Clerk of the Course will handle scratches and substitutes, but no lane assignments or heats will be changed. Benches will be in the middle of the field. Check in two events prior.
Implement weigh in will be Saturday at 9:00 am.
Scoring: 10-8-6-4-3-2-1
Trainer: We will have a trainer part-time; however have a first aid station both days.
Meet Sheets & results will be posted on the west press box and online.
Coaches hospitality room will be inside the Paul Cox Training Center.

Behind Collierville Elementary
(On Friday, avoid arriving between 3:30 and 4:15. We have plenty of parking, but if you arrive as Cville Elem. is letting out, you will have deal with hundreds of cars in a very slow bumper-to-bumper procession. Buses will want to park on the far side of the track, toward the SCS bus barn.)
From Memphis:
Take 385 (Bill Morris Parkway) east to Byhalia Road
Take Byhalia north to Poplar Avenue (57)
Take a right on Poplar (57) to Peterson Lake Road, turn left.
The elementary school is on the right.
Turn right on Burrows Road to the track
From Cordova:
Take Houston-Levee south to Frank Road
(Just past Memphis National Golf Club)
Turn left on Frank
Go to Byhalia Road, turn right.
Go to Powell Road, turn left.
Go to Peterson Lake Road, turn right.
The elementary school will be on your left.
Turn left on Burrows Road to the track.
From the North country (Millington, Bolton, Covington, etc):
Take Collierville-Arlington Road to Shelton Road, turn right.
Take Shelton to Peterson Lake Road, turn left.
The elementary school will be on your left.
Turn left on Burrows Road to the track.
