Johnson City, Tenn. (Feb. 10, 2011) --- The Milligan College track and field program has announced the addition of University High senior thrower Sarah-Catherine Fowler to the 2011-12 recruiting class. Head Coach Chris Layne made the announcement during a media event on Thursday afternoon.
Fowler, who owns a shot put best of 31-5 and a discus best of 98-9, boasts 2010 wins at the Dobyns-Bennett Invitational, Unicoi County Invitational and the Frank Carver Invitational. She finished 3rd at the ASU Invitational, and recorded top five finishes in both the shot put and discus at the A-AA East Sub-Sectional and Sectional Meets.
"Sarah-Catherine has athleticism, a key component to being successful at a national level,” Layne said. “In addition, she gets it done in the classroom, which makes her such a good fit for our entire system at Milligan College"
Sarah is the daughter of Dr. Todd and Sally Fowler.
