Milligan College, Tenn. (Dec. 15, 2010) --- The Milligan College Lady Buffs cross country team has received a commitment from Paxton Stephenson for the 2011-12 recruiting class. Head Coach Chris Layne made the announcement.
Stephenson, a senior at North Putnam High School in Roachdale, Tenn., has a personal best 5K time of 20:57. She has been named to the All-WCC team for two years in addition to being named to the All-County team. Stephenson is also a member of the North Putnam basketball and volleyball teams.
“Paxton has had a very athletic high school career,” Layne said. “She played volleyball and ran both track and cross country, so I think we'll really see her take off once she gets into a dedicated year-round program"
Stephenson will join a Lady Buffs squad that was ranked nationally all season, and captured their eighth straight AAC title. They finished 24th in the 2010 NAIA Cross Country National Championships.
