Teammates Carter Johnson and Luke Thompson paced each other to 9:04 and 9:05 respectively at last year's Nashville PR event held at Brentwood Academy.
12th Annual Nashville PR 3200m
The 12th Annual Nashville PR 3200m event will be held at Brentwood Academy on Saturday, November 11th.
Despite windy conditions that saw a wind-chill factor of 28 degrees, last year's meet helped produce an incredible 91 Milesplit-verified 3200m PR's!
Overall Girls' Winner was Bella Guillamondegui (Harpeth Hall) with a time of 10:40 -- only 20 seconds shy of Beth Donnelly's 10:20 meet record from 3 years ago.
Overall Boys' Winner was Carter Johnson (Brentwood Academy) with a fine time of 9:04, with BA teammate Luke Thompson (D2-AA State Cross Country Champion), a close runner-up at 9:05. Neither boy was far off Brodey Hasty's un paced meet record mark of 8:57.
As always, this meet will be a fun and exciting post-season celebration of fast times for athletes, coaches, parents and spectators alike. Typically, 65% of runners at this meet attain new 3200m PR's on BA's lightning fast track -- as athletes will be divided by their goal times and ideal pacing is provided for the first half of each race.

Other Opportunities Around Tennessee
There will also be similar opportunities around Tennessee to get a post-season time for this distance. On November 9th at Hardin Valley, the annual Knoxville Youth Athletics High School Time Trial will take place. The electric atmosphere with digital split times every 200m and great music sets jammin' over the PA serve to produce superior performances. The 2013 Time Trial saw the meet record shattered by Aaron Templeton (Hardin Valley Academy) going 8:54.26 with two other athletes under 9:20. In 2017, Rebecca Story (CAK) set her goal to be the first Tennessee athlete to break 10 minutes…twice. She ran 9:59.80 for the second year in a row narrowly beating her Tennessee state record. Your 3200 PR is sure to go down. Last year the winner were Trevor Coggin of Farragut in 9:05 and Webb's Anna Graves in 10:54 (race above).
And also in Nashville this year will be the Hoka Nashville Track Club All-Comers Meet that will also occur on November 11th at Harpeth Hall.
