Runner To Watch: Christopher Knight
Burn out and soccer is not an uncommon relationship and appears to be the case with Christopher Knight of Baylor School. The senior ran cross country in middle school, focused on soccer for the early part of high school, and is now back running cross country and and leading the Big Red heading into state. He opened his season with a 16:42 at Coleman Midgett and has slowly walked his time down to 16:21 at Front Runners where we caught up with him after his 4th place finish.
He finished 28th at state last year but on the trajectory that he is on he may walk away with hardware by the end of next week.
