Tasty Race: Streeval Splits 56.9 En Route To TN #1 800m

Tasty Race: Hardin Valley Boys 800m

On September 18th, teammates Conner Wingfield and Levi Streeval went 1,2 at the adidas XC Challenge in North Carolina running a 15:22 in the process. It was the last time we would see Streeval race during the fall. Shortly after he would be shut down for the rest of the season due to injury. He didn't race again until January opening his indoor season with a 4:22 mile and ending it with a 4:16 a little more than a week ago. How would this transfer to outdoor season? On Saturday at the Hardin Valley Invitational we got our answer.

Here's a look at his splits:

Finals

It'll be interesting to see what his ceiling is in this event. With McNair returning after winning the event at 1:53.05, he has a ways to go to get to that number but he clearly has the footspeed and strength to make a run at that mark. Here's what he had to say after the race.

Daniel Boone will race next week at the Tri-Cities Classic but I'll be curious to see what he can throw down on the MONDO track surface at the Volunteer Track Classic on 4/15. Should be a lot of eye opening performances from that race.
