Tennessee MileSplit Madness has been a lot of fun.
And it's almost over.
The final four has been selected, and we've just got three dual meets left for the guys and girls tournaments respectively.
Here are the brackets...
Here's how the Final Four is going to work.
We're going to run a dual meet like we have throughout the entire tournament.
But now, you have a say in who advances.
We'll attach a poll the day before the dual meet is posted. For every 10% of the vote that a team receives, they'll get five points in the final dual meet standings.
So the results will be more heavily weighted than the fan vote. But this way, you guys have a say on your team advances to the final round...and maybe even winning the whole thing! We'll use the same system for the championship round.
For example, if Southwind receives 64% of the vote, they'll receive 30 points total. That means Houston would get 36% of the vote, resulting in 15 points.
We will only award points for each ten percentage points, so the extra four percentage points (64%) will not affect the total in the virtual meet in order to make things as simple as possible.
Every vote counts!
Each poll in the Final Four will be up for 24 hours (starting in the morning) and will close at the same time next day. The championship round will have a 48-hour poll.
The final results, including the fan vote, will be published that afternoon.
It all starts tomorrow morning.
Stay tuned!
