A Tweet That Aged Well

Fast forward three seasons now to 2018. It's hard to recall if they ever ran the 4x200 together again in that span of time so I can't point to any intermediate progress when they were sophomores or juniors but as seniors they were once again slated to do so at this year's Sub-Sectional. Leading up to the meet, they had experienced a lot of successes in races of other distances. The only athlete on the relay who had run a 200m Open multiple times during the season was Viral Patel, a junior whose Season's Best was 23.57.

Like I said in the opener, this isn't one of those stories. They didn't win. They didn't automatically qualify for the Sectional Meet. It's likely that had Rossview not false started they would've finished 5thNevertheless, the relay did qualify for the sectional meet but unfortunately finished 5th. As a relay the trio did not advance to the state meet but Austin Mullen qualified in the 400m and Koby Story qualified in the 300m Hurdles. When they competed the state meet neither athlete medalled.
