The Scoop: Dunk Challenge, Outdoors Efforts In Miami And Making Good Of USAs

* Mondo Duplantis' World Junior Record in the pole vault at the Texas Relays in 2017

4. Mondo Takes Fourth Straight State Title

Before Mondo Duplantis takes the world stage in March at the World Indoor Championships in Birmingham, United Kingdom, he competed one last time at his state indoor championship in Louisiana, posting a height of 18 feet, 8.25 inches on Saturday to score his fourth straight title.

In some ways, these are fleeting moments for Duplantis, undoubtedly the best high school pole vaulter to ever hit the high school stage. We may never again -- at least not in the immediate future -- see the kind of talent he has routinely given us at high school meets.

And while he's still got the spring season left and potentially another World Junior Record effort in him, you shouldn't miss what's left of his high school career. He's the rare athlete that captures an audience with every step and every leap.

He's heading to the UK to compete for Sweden at the World Championships, and then it's off to LSU, where he'll once again look to better his marks in the NCAA.

His high school chapter is ending soon, though. Don't miss it.
