placed second with a time of 2:36. Freshman Caleb Hughes (Christiansburg, Va.) ran in 2:37 for third, while freshman Brendan Hawkins (Limestone, Tenn.) finished in 2:44 which was good enough for fourth place.

Sophomore Chelsea Leavell (Springfield, Tenn.) led the Lady Buffs in the field events by placing an impressive third in the weight throw with a 45”5.25’.

“We needed this meet to blow of the rust from Christmas Break and we have work to do if we’re going to meet our goals indoors,” commented Head Coach Chris Layne
.

The Buffs and Lady Buffs will race next on Saturday, Jan. 24, at the Middle Tennessee Classic in Murfreesboro, Tenn.  The meet is scheduled to start at 9 a.m.
