MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (February 28, 2007)  --- Radford High School (Va.) senior Daniel Harrell (Radford, Va.) announced this week he'll compete for the running Buffaloes of Milligan College next Fall.

Harrell recently qualified for the 2008 Virginia State Indoor Track and Field Meet in three events, and also earned all-district, all-region, and state qualifying honors in each of his four years at Radford. In 2007, he finished 7th at the Virginia State Cross Country Meet, and owns a 5k best of 16:34.

"Daniel's steady progress at Radford is a strong indicator he has more in the tank,” said head coach Chris Layne. “We're confident he'll impact our men as soon as he steps on campus."

The son of Anthony and Kathy Harrell, he is a member of the Academic Honor Roll, National Honor Society, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Harrell plans to major in math at Milligan.
