Four more sign with Milligan

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (June 15, 2007) --- Milligan College cross country and track and field head coach Chris Layne announced this week the signing of four more student-athletes to the 2007 recruiting class. In all, the program has added 21 student-athletes for the 2007-08 school year.

Leading the way is Colerain High School (Cincinnati, Ohio) senior Jason Simpson. Simpson joins the Buffs with an 800 meter best of 2:01 on the track and a 5k time of 16:05 in cross country.

"Jason is an outstanding all-around athlete with plenty of room for improvement in both cross country and track," said Layne.

Joining Simpson is McMinn County (Athens, Tenn.) senior Allyn Bursley, who competes in the shot put and the discus throw. Joining Bursley in the throws department are sisters Tara and Tabitha Moore from Volunteer High School (Church Hill, Tenn.).

The Moore sisters will join former teammate and state champion Jacklyn Talbert, now an All-American with the Lady Buffs.
