(Milligan College, Tenn.) May 7, 2007 --- Morristown West senior Katie LeMarr has committed to run for the Lady Buffs of Milligan College starting next fall. Lemarr holds the IMAC Conference record in the 100 meters with a time of 12.1, taking the conference title in that event the last three years.
In 2006, Lemarr finished 6th at the region championships in the 100 meters.
“Katie has exciting potential and she’ll immediately bring depth to our young sprint crew, “ said head coach Chris Layne.
The daughter of Steve and Cindy LeMarr, Katie plans to pursue a nursing degree while at Milligan. While at Morristown West, she served on the principal’s minority academic advisory council.
