THROWS: boys discus (2-lbs), shot put (8-lbs); girls discus (2-lbs), shot put (6-lbs); 4 total throws

HIGH JUMP: opening height: based on heights at registration

POLE VAULT: opening height: based on heights at registration

LONG JUMP: 4 total jumps

RUNNING EVENT NOTES

1. NO DEVELOPMENTAL EVENTS THIS YEAR.

2. In the 100m, 200m, and 400m prelims and in the 100/110m hurdle prelims, the top 8 runners will qualify for the finals.

3. In the 1600m and 800m prelims, 12 runners will qualify for the finals by taking the top 2 in each heat plus next fastest times.  The number of preliminary heats will be determined by the number of entries. Top 8 will score in the finals.

4. All relays will be run in heats as finals on Friday. Top 8 teams will score in the finals.

5. One false start is charged to the field for each running event. If a second false start occurs in thatevent, the individual runner or runners will be disqualified from that event.

6. A school may enter no more than 3 athletes or 1 relay team in an event or relay for the championship.

EVENT LIMITATIONS

An athlete may participate in a maximum of 5 total events.  Of those 5 events an athlete may participate in a maximum of 3 field events and 2 running events or a maximum of 3 running events and 2 field events.
