Meet Information
This is the MYA Varsity Championships combined with the Memphis JV/Freshman Championships
Cost is $10 per athlete
Awards will be given to the top 2 teams and top 10 finishers in each division.
Tentative Schedule:
4:00pm - JV/Freshman boys combined (unlimited entry)
4:30pm - JV/Freshman girls combined (unlimited entry)
5:00pm - Varsity boys (7 athlete limit)
5:40pm - Varsity girls (7 athlete limit)
Eligible Runners for the JV/Freshman Division
The intention of these divisions is to allow those individuals who didn't qualify for the state meet, an opportunity to race in their own championship race. Individuals who qualified and will run at the state meet are NOT eligible to race in this race. Please do not use this race for a varsity runner as a "tune up" or tempo run. Those who don't follow this rule will cause their team to be disqualified. No exceptions.
Who/What/Where
Freshmen and JV championship cross country finale. 9th graders and non-varsity runners are eligible. Finish the season with a PR against the best in the Memphis area.
If you have a smaller team consisting of only 2 FR runners, but you would like to have them compete as a team - you may add them to your JV roster and run 1 complete team in JV race. You can NOT run your JV 10th and 11th graders down in FR race just to have a complete team of 5 scoring members.
Course: 5K course used at Frank Horton and MYA HS races.
Eligible runners for the Varsity MYA Championship divisions: Any team/athlete registered with MYA can participate in this division.
