Online Registration Instructions
Hello Coaches,
We are excited to host this year's TMSAA Area 12 Sectional Meet. I apologize for not having this information for you sooner. Here is some info for planning and to share with your team.
Team Eligibility: This meet is open to all middle school track and field teams in TMSAA Area 12 Section, however, it is only for athletes that placed in the TOP 4 of their Sub-Sectional Meet.
Team Entry Fee: There will be no team fees for this meet.
Meet Dates: Monday, May 6th.
Meet Location: Fairview High School
Spectators: $5 admission for adult and school age spectators. There will also be concessions available. We accept Cash and Venmo.
Parking: Parking is limited by the ball fields and track but there is additional parking behind the school off King Road. Please only park in designated parking areas.
Team Tents: Teams can set up anywhere outside the track or in the stands. NO ONE, FOR ANY REASON, can set up tents on the turf! We have had several issues of teams leaving trash behind and it causes my kids and myself to clean up everyone's mess. Please help us keep our stadium clean by telling your athletes, assistant coaches, and parents to clean up their areas when leaving.
Event Entries: All meet entries must be submitted online through tn.milesplit. The deadline to enter is 11pm Sunday, May 5th at 11p.m.
Heat Sheets: We plan to seed Monday morning and will have heat sheets out that afternoon and they will be available at the coach's meeting.
Events: We will run all standard middle school events.
Coaches Help Needed: Each team will be asked to help at a field event and possibly an exchange zone. We would like to pre-assign these roles. If you would like to help at a particular field event, please e-mail your first and second choice to me by Sunday night. I will do my best. No guarantees for assignments.
Student Athlete limit: No athlete may exceed 3 events regardless of type (field, running, or relay).
Team Limits: Only qualifying athletes may be entered.
Scoring: Only the top 3 and A team relays will be scored per team for meet scoring.
Awards: I'm currently checking to make sure TMSAA is sending medals and plaques. I'll let you all know at the meet or by email.
Results: Results will be posted at the concessions for review at the conclusion of each race and final results will be posted to milesplit after the meet.
Schedule of Events:
Day #1 - Monday, May 6th.
Coaches Meeting - 4:45 pm at the finish line.
Field events will begin at 5:00pm
Running Events will begin at 5:30, we may have to push it back to 5:45 or 6 depending on if kids who are in running events are also still competing in the field events.
