Meet Information
We cordially invite you to the 3rd annual Shelby Metro Area Championship Invitational Freshman/JV Track Meet, hosted by the Christian Brothers High School Track staff and CBHS Track Boosters Club. It will be held at Tom Nix Field on the campus of CBHS, 5900 Walnut Grove Road, Memphis, TN, 38120. Coaches and/or assistants WILL be asked to help function as judges for the field events. All events will be in standard TSSAA format. Points WILL NOT be awarded from this meet, Coaches please pick up your packets by 3:15 Monday. There will be a coaches meeting on the field at 3:30 on Monday and Tuesday afternoon. Field and running events will start at approximately 4 PM on Monday and Tuesday immediately after the invocation/opening. There is a limit of 5 athletes per event per team per division. Four attempts may be made in all throwing events. All running events will be FinishLynx FAT timed with times posted at the Press Box immediately following the event read-out. Any coach requesting electronic copies of the times must leave a current e-mail address with the Press Box crew. Medals will be given for 1st and 2nd with ribbons for 3rd through 8th place may be picked up following the FINAL race on the last day. All effort will be made to keep to the published schedule. Schedule times are based upon historical data and are approximate. Event times will be updated as total registrant numbers are reviewed. ALL athletes MUST be present 30 minutes prior to their race for check-in. Registration will open Sunday, February 15th at 12:00 AM. Registration will close at 3:00 PM on Friday, April 24th. We will accept online entries ONLY. There is NO event day registration. Absolutely NO CHANGES after 9 AM, Saturday, April 25; AND those will only accepted in writing via email to jchance1@comcast.net. No additions may be made after that time. Only name changes and drops/withdrawals will be accepted after registration closure. "Shout-Outs" are available at the Press Box for $1. Athletes are admitted free ONLY if in uniform. Spectator charge: $5 Adults/$3 student. FREE second day entry ONLY with a previous day ticket stub. Please remember that to be eligible to compete in this meet, your school MUST have participated in 2 Freshman/JV meets at CBHS PRIOR to the date of this event. Note to all teams: Absolutely NO canopies or tents may be set-up on the infield. There is ample room behind the Press Box for all to set-up team areas and warm-up.
