Meet Information
Coaches Please read ALL information.
ATTENTION: This is a high school race only!
New: The course will be open on Friday, August 30th from 4:00 pm -7:00 pm. This is the only time runners may come to the Hermitage course without facing security.
New: Parking for the Voyles will be handled the same as last year, except that the Hermitage staff will be handling the duties. To help cover the cost of this, the MSCCA asks drivers to donate to the parent workers who will be holding buckets near the parking areas.
Important changes this year please take note:
VOYLES CLASSIC: Saturday, August 31, 2019
Entry Deadline: Monday, August 26th at 10:59pm
The race will again take place at:
The Hermitage
4580 Rachels Lane
Hermitage, TN 37076
The Hermitage and its course are located on private property, so no one is allowed to run there outside of the preview course day and race day. The MSCCA will set up a date in August (week of the race) leading up to the Voyles allowing teams/runners to preview the course. This information will be e-mailed to coaches in July.
To race in this event, your team MUST be a member of the Midstate Cross Country Association.
No entry fee (covered by MSCCA dues).*
Association fee is due day of race.
Go to midstatexc.org for fee information.
We will have disposable chip timing this year! A professional timer from the Knoxville Track Club will time both of our large MSCCA races. While this is great news on many levels, all participants must be aware that if you cross the finish line without a chip, you will not have a time or place.
When registering online, please only enter runners who will be participating. We typically have 200-300 runners registered who do not race. With disposable chip timing, this is a very large additional, unnecessary cost. Thank you for working with the Association on this.
Race schedule:
8:00 am Girls Varsity
8:40 am Boys Varsity
9:20 am - Girls JV Division (individual awards at the finish line)
10:00 am Boys JV Division (individual awards at the finish line)
10:45 am Awards for Team Divisions
Every team in the Association may run up to seven runners each in the varsity races. All remaining runners will participate in the JV race (no limit).
Individual Awards:
Varsity Races - Medals to top 50 finishers.
Trophy to top place finisher.
JV Races - Medals to top 10 finishers.
Trophy to top place finisher.
