TMSAA North East Small Division Sectional Championships
*Note on Entry Fees: Whether entry fees have been paid or not is between Schools and TMSAA. I was told that some schools paid while paying membership dues and some did not. We do not have any record of who has paid or not and was told to direct all questions to school administrators and/or TMSAA.
**Below is the list of schools in Class A assigned to this Section and allowed to enter. There is also a link below to the TMSAA page with all schools listed by Section and Class.

Coaches Meeting at 10:00am on center of in-field
Field Events will start at 10:30am.
Implement Weigh-In will be at the far end of stadium near throwing areas and start / finish line
beginning at 9:30am
$ 4.00 admission for spectators.
Use gate in lower lot by field house.
Gate will open at 9:00 am.
10:30am (First Round, then switch at completion of each event)

All Running Events will be on a Rolling Schedule with 1st, 2nd and 3rd calls as current field events come to a completion. Plan to start running events at the half hour after field events are completed.

Regulations
I.
TSSAA Uniform Rule
All
uniforms must follow the NFHS Rules. The referee will warn every
participant prior to the meet that they must compete in a legal
uniform, and if a contestant competes in an illegal uniform, then
that contestant is disqualified from that event. There are no team
warnings or individual warnings after the meet begins. Officials
should use preventative officiating as much as possible.
II.
Number of Events Open to Participants
No
contestant may participate in more than three events in any meet.
This regulation applies to all track competition regular-season meets
as well as invitational, conference, sub-sectional, sectional,
regional, and state meets.
A
school may enter no more than three girls or three boys in any
individual event and no more than one team in a relay.
III.
Sectional
In
middle school track, there will be two classifications: small and
large. Classification can be found here.
Four
Sectionals (Murfreesboro, Chattanooga, Johnson City, and Memphis)
will be held across the state with the qualifiers advancing to the
State Championships. There will be 16 qualifiers in each event from
each classification to the State Championships from the Sectional
meets. There will be a fee of $50 for a girls team and $50 for a boys
team for each school in the Sectional meet and
paid to TMSAA. Schools may have paid through portal during membership
fee process.
IV.
State Meet Information
Running Events All lane assignments will be based on the athletes qualifying
performance.
The following scoring system shall be used in the state meet
10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1.
The Middle School Track & Field State Championships will be held May
18, 2019 at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN.
