Like last year, athletes are NOT REQUIRED to compete in this meet in order to advance to the state meet. Each DII A school has a maximum of three athletes they can enter in the decathlon/pentathlon for the state meet, BUT WE WILL INCLUDE THE RESULTS IN THE TEAM SCORING FOR SECTIONALS. Entrees will be put on all trax timing.

Make sure to put a time for the Girls in the 100 Hurdles and the 800 as well as for the Boys in the 100M Dash, 400M, 110 Hurdles, and the 1500M Run. If they do not have a time, simply leave it blank.
Here is the order of events. This especially effects Decathlon- We are going to do it in the order the TSSAA has set up for Day 1 and Day 2 at the State Meet the past 2 years. If this changes, I will let you know.
PENTATHLON- April 23- 10:00 AM EST 100 Meter Hurdles Long Jump High Jump Shot Put 800 Meter
DECATHLON DAY 1- April 23- 10:00 AM EST 100 Meter Dash Triple Jump Pole Vault Discus 400 Meter
DECATHLON DAY 2- April 24- 10:00 AM EST: 110 Hurdles Long Jump High Jump Shot Put 1500 Meter
COST of Entry= $20 per athlete.

THINGS TO REMEMBER: Only 3 attempts in the throws/horizontal jumps. The first false start in an event gets charged to the field then the 2nd false start is charged to the individual and they are given zero points for that event. In the hurdle events, athletes will compete in lanes 2, 4, 6 (on an 8 lane track) with hurdles in all lanes including the outside lanes (1 - 7 on an 8 lane track)
