UPDATE: Due to unforeseen events, the AUGUST 16th MUSIC CITY GRAND PRIX Event is cancelled. We will still host the Hoka One One events on November 10th and November 17th. I will be posting those events and registration process to Milesplit in the coming days.

The Music City Grand Prix is a 3-event series of 3200m races with the 1st event held on Thursday night, August 16th @ Brentwood Academy.
This is a HOKA Postal Nationals 5x3200m team event on the track and is a great early season start for the XC season.
Individuals race the 3200m and teams can race in groups of 5, for the standard 5x3200m Hoka Postal Nationals.
Middle School Runners = 1600m
High School Runners - 3200m
Four years ago, HOKA ONE ONE made the 5 x 3200m an official Postal Nationals championship team event, and Nashville has hosted some exciting and fast racing.
Last year's Individual Champions were Brodey Hasty (8:57) and Beth Donnelly (10:41).
And Nashville was home to the Back-to-Back 2016 and 2017 Boys' Postal National 5x3200m Champions, Brentwood, TN.
This event is always fast -- held on fast tracks with pacers for most heats.
This year, we are expanding the HOKA ONE ONE Postal National events to include our first-ever early season warm-up meet.
This event will be held on a Thursday evening (8/16), under the stars with a fun festival atmosphere including music, food, t-shirts, medals and more.
What to expect:
> Paced racing aimed at PR performances.
> Awards for the Top-15 Middle School Boys and Girls
> Awards for Top 15-High School Boys and Girls
> Awards for Top-3 High School Boys and Girls Teams
We encourage both individual and team participation. Points earned by teams and individuals will be kept for all 3 Grand Prix events.
Special individual and team awards will also be presented for overall standings and for improvement, after our 3rd and final Grand Prix event in November.
For Grand Prix award eligibility, athletes and teams must participate in 2 of the 3 events, with the final 2 events to be held in the two weeks after the TN State XC meet.
SPECIAL COMMEMORATIVE MEDALS will be presented to anyone who runs an official Milesplit 3200m/2M* PR in any of the events.
COACHES of full 5-person TEAMS will receive A FREE PAIR of HOKA SHOES
Meet Fees $30 for individuals.
$100 for each 5-person team entered by a school.

Heat 1 6:00 PM
Heat 2 6:10 PM

Heat 4 6:30 PM
High School 3200's:
Heat 1 7:00 PM
Heat 2 7:20 PM
Heat 3 7:35 PM
Heat 4 7:50 PM
Heat 5 8:05 PM

Heats will be seeded according to time and could very well be mixed-gender, depending on the number of entries by time per heat.
Each heat will contain a max of 20 runners and additional heats may be added depending on the number of entrants.
