2017 William Blount Track & Field Invitational
ENTRY DEADLINE: WEDNESDAY, APRIL 26th @ MIDNIGHT
Date: Friday, April 28th (no rain date - short of extreme weather conditions, plan to run)
Location: William Blount H.S., 219 County Farm Road, Maryville, TN 37801
Starting Times:
5:00 p.m. -4x800 meter relay and all field events
6:00 p.m. -All remaining running events
Event order will follow TSSAA order of events.
Entry Limitations: Two athletes / one relay team per event from each school.
Entry Information: All schools must enter athletes online at www.tn.milesplit.us. Please be as accurate and honest as possible when listing seed times and marks.
Entry Fees: $50 per school (boys and girls teams) or $25 per team. Schools entering fewer than five athletes may pay $5 per athlete. Make checks payable to William Blount High School and bring payment to the meet.
Spectator Admission: $5.00 (students and adults)
Concessions: A concession stand will be open, and participating coaches eat free.
General Meet Information:
Minimum Marks for Measurement: Shotput- 25'(girls)/ 30' (boys) - 4 throws
Discus - 60' (girls) / 90' (boys) - 4 throws
Long Jump - 12' (girls) / 16' (boys) - 3 jumps
Triple Jump - 25' (girls) // 34' (boys) - 3 jumps
Starting Heights: High Jump: - 4' (girls) // 5' (boys)
Pole Vault: - 7' (girls and boys)
Note: We have 2 Jump pits operational triple jump will take place at the 100m start line.
Seeding:
Fast to slow
Awards: 1st place winners in each event will receive awards
Timing / Results: All times will be FAT.
Results will be posted online at www.tn.milesplit.us.
Event Check out: Athletes checking out of field events to participate in a running event must return promptly to their field event or be scratched (within 15 minutes after the event).
All warm ups will take place on the football practice field (upper field). No one except the timing crew and those athletes participating in the High Jump should be on the infield at any time.
