Schedule and Format For April 28th & 29th
Entry
Each school shall be limited to (3) three athletes.
Online entry at http://tn.milesplit.com/
Deadline Tuesday, April 22th Midnight.
Late entries shall be assessed $25.00 per day per athlete as per TSSAA policy. Cashiers check or money order only must be in hand before late entries shall be actually put into computer. Email late entries to wshamlett@gmail.com. Pre-paid late entries will not be accepted after Friday, May 2nd .
Monday, April 28th , 2014 @ 10:00 A.M
100m Dash Decathlon All competitors shall be placed in random heats.
Pole Vault Decathlon Athletes shall be placed in order based on (1) entering height and (2) points accumulated up to that point.
Discus Throw Decathlon Order of attempts shall be based on ascending order of points. 100m Hurdles Pentathlon All competitors shall be placed in random heats.
Triple Jump Decathlon Order of attempts shall be based on ascending order of points.
400m Dash Decathlon All athletes shall be ranked in ascending order based on current points and placed in heats.
10AM Start
100 Hurdles- athletes will be randomly placed in heats.
Long Jump Pentathlon Order of attempts shall be based on ascending order of points.
Shot Put Pentathlon Order of attempts shall be based on ascending order of points.
High Jump Pentathlon Athletes shall be placed in order based on (1) entering height and (2) points accumulated up to that point.
Athletes may designate entering height. The bar shall be raised in 2 increments.
800m Run Pentathlon All athletes shall be ranked in ascending order based on current points. Athletes shall be placed in two heats.
A waterfall start shall be applied.

110m Hurdles Decathlon All athletes shall be ranked in ascending order based on current points and placed in heats.
Long Jump/Shot Decathlon The field shall be split into (2) groups based on point thus far. Order of attempts shall be based on ascending order of points within group.
High Jump Decathlon Athletes shall be placed in order based on (1) entering height and (2) points accumulated up to that point.
Athletes may designate entering height. The bar shall be raised in 2 increments.
1500m Run Decathlon All athletes shall be ranked in ascending order based on current points. Athletes shall be placed in two heats.
A waterfall start shall be applied
Coaches are required to assist in officiating events. If you attend, you must help.
Please feel free to provide your athletes with tents and chairs. A trainer from Ortho 1 Clinic will be on site.

Girls then Boys: 4x800 final, 100h/110h, 100M, Slow heats of the 3200, 4 x 200m relay

Field Events Finals- 3 attempts, top 9 finals- 3 more attempts
Boys: Pole Vault, Long Jump, Discus
Girls: High Jump, Shot Put, Triple Jump will follow boys long jump
Running Events Prelims (in this order)
Girls then Boys = 4 x 100m relay, 400m, 300h, 200m, 15 min break, 4 x 400m relay
Wednesday (May 14, 2014) @ University of Memphis
4:00 PM Running Events Finals (in this order)
Girls then Boys = 100h/110h, 100, 4x200, 1600*, 4x100, 400, 300, 800*, 200, 3200* (fast heat), 4x400
Note: The top four athletes of each final will qualify for the State Meet to be held at MTSU in Murfreesboro, TN on May 19 through May 23, 2014.

Meet Format
Format: Entry Notes: Each event shall be limited to 3 athletes per school. The TSSAA four-event rule shall be enforced.
Online entry: http://tn.milesplit.com/meets/
Deadline Friday, May 9th @ Midnight.
Coaches meeting At 3:00pm, Tuesday May 13th to determine next years site and meet director.
Entry Fee: $50.00 per team ($50.00 for boys and $50.00 for girls). Make checks payable to: Houston High School. Checks must be turned in at the coaches meeting prior to the meet.
Late Entries: No late entries accepted.
Packet pick-up: Packet pick-up will be at 3:00 pm, Monday May 13th at the coaches meeting.
Absolutely NO!!! Meet-day changes. We will not change heat sheets.
Scoring: The meet shall be scored as follows: 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 with points being evenly divided in tie situations per NFHS rules.
Note: Blocks are NOT provided.
Entry Standards
THESE ARE SUGGESTED GUIDELINES ONLY. All verifiable marks shall be entered into the meet up to a maximum of three (3) entrants per event, per school. With the exception of Pole Vault, the cut-off mark shall be adjusted to allow for a minimum of 16 athletes. Coaches, please evaluate your entries closely. If you have an athlete in ANY event that is VERIFIABLY CLOSE to the guideline mark, please enter the athlete anyway.
The 2013 Section 4 Track and Field Games Committee agreed upon these marks.
