The Breathe Deep Nashville 5K Run/Walk is one of several signature events hosted by LUNGevity in 2011. The goal of the event is to raise money for LUNGevity and lung cancer research.
Dr. Pierre Massion, world-renowned lung cancer researcher and physician at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center, is the chairman of the events steering committee.
The race will be held at Centennial Park on Nov. 5 and begins at 9 a.m. Registration begins at 7 a.m. It is pet-, wheelchair- and stroller-friendly, and we welcome members of all ages to participate.
The event will not end once the race is overthere will be music, games and attractions.
Costs are $25 prior to Oct. 1; $30 Oct. 1 Oct. 31; $35 Nov. 1 Nov. 5; $15 for survivors; $20 for students with valid ID; and free for children 12 and younger. Participants are also encouraged to build fundraising teams.
