BRISTOL, TENN. - King College head cross country coach Peter Dalton is pleased to announce the addition of Heidi Waldbart (Henderson, N.C.) to the Lady Tornado 2009-2010 squad. The Lady Eagle from East Henderson high school is a four-time State cross country qualifier and possesses a personal record of 21:01 for 5,000 meter.
Under the tutelage of East Henderson coach Rusty Ward, Waldbart was named to the All-Conference and All-Region teams numerous times and also garnered the Kiwanis All-Star award.
“Heidi’s talent is evident. Her athletic ability, as a high school dual-sport state qualifier, indicates that there is a lot more potential for development”, commented Dalton.
Heidi also excels academically and is a member of the National Honors Society. Also named Senior Class President, Waldbart is a leader who will make a positive impact at King College.
Heidi is the daughter of Glenn and Alison Waldbart and plans to major in sports management / outdoor recreation.
