King College has picked up four more runners for the upcoming track and cross-country seasons.
Mary Armstrong a 10-06 pole vaulter while at Tennessee High school has transfered to King from Clemson University.
Judy Johnson (Bearden HS 2005) finished 5th in the 200 at the NAIA Outdoor Nationals in Fresno California today earning her All-American honors. Her time of 24.69 was a personal best and came at the end of an outdoor season slowed by an injured that occurred during the finals of the indoor nationals earlier in the year.
On Friday night, the Tornado from King College blew through Western Carolina University en route to two AAC tournament championships. King College led from start to finish, taking home first place in both the men\'s and women\'s Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Championships which were held as a part of the Catamount Classic.
Freshmen Josh Cloyd, Marcus Lomans, Caleb McDaniel and David Krenik combined to run 3:16.98 for the 4x400 relay Saturday evening at the University of Tennessee.
Jamall Parker became King College\'s second All-American at the 2006 NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships. Jamaal finished 6th in the triple jump with a leap of 48 feet 11 inches, an improvement of 19.5 inches over his previous best.
Seaver finishes fourth in pentathlon. Competing in only his second pentathlon ever Justin Seaver scored personal bests in four of the five events on his way to a 4th place finish.
King College head cross country coach Peter Dalton announced today that Andrew Dibb (Morristown, Tenn.) of State cross country powerhouse Morristown West will join the Tornados for the 2009-2010 season.
