UTC will be the host for the College and High School Powerade Invitationals this weekend. Friday night, September 7th, Chattanooga will host top schools Georgia Tech, Alabama, Ole Miss and Auburn. The south region and SEC champion Barnabus Kirui of Ole Miss will also be competing in the mens 5K race. Jacksonville State, MTSU, Tennessee State, and Covenant College will also be competing. Women will run a 2 mile race at 5:45 P.M. while the men will run the 5k at 6:15 P.M.
On Saturday, September 8th, 20 high schools from Tennessee and Georgia;nbsp;will be competing in the 2007 Powerade Invitational. The High School Boys Blue Invitational will begin at 11:00 A.M. and the High School Girls Gold Invitational will begin at 11:30 A.M. The Boys and Girls Silver Open will begin at 12:00 P.M. Saturday morning there will also be the Powerade Cross Country Run, open to the community. The 5k race will begin at 8:30 A.M. Registration will be at 7:30 A.M. The Powerade Weekend will be taking place at Moccasin Bend. Please come out and join us this weekend!
