Healthy Competition Program

I hope you are doing well.

I’m sure you have been following the suspected performance-enhancing drug bust Tuesday in Orlando, Fla., that allegedly implicates current and former Major League baseball players, NFL players, high school and college athletes, and bodybuilders.

With the issue of performance-enhancing drug use front and center for many Tennessee teens and parents right now, TSSAA and BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee want to remind you about the Healthy Competition program. Healthy Competition works to educate students, parents and coaches about the dangers of performance-enhancing drug use and the proper ways to eat and train.

As you are working on stories in the upcoming weeks, please keep our program in mind. Healthy Competition resources include a program DVD and several brochures, as well as an informative Web site, www.HealthyCompetitionTN.org. Remember - real winners compete drug-free.

If you would like a copy of the Healthy Competition program DVD or any of the materials, please contact me at 615-889-6740. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of Tennesseans.

Thank you!
