Jessica Justice signs with Lee University

Walker Valley High School senior Jessica Justice's high school running career may be coming to an end but her college career is just beginning. Jessica ran track and cross-country for the mustangs, contributing to their 2005 A-AA region championship in track & field and their 2005 AAA region cross-country championship. "Jessica has been a great asset to the Walker Valley running programs and will be greatly missed," said Coach Baird.

Jessica has signed with Lee University and will take the next step in her running career with the Flames cross-country program and Coach Bayliss. Her high school coaches feel that Jessica can contribute greatly to Lee University's relatively young cross-country program.

"Jessica came to track as a favor to help out on a relay team for a couple of big meets. Some how we talked her into running cross-country, where she did very well. After having a good year in cross-country we had no problems getting her to run track. Jessica is a good team leader and someone you can depend on. I really hate to loose a good runner and good person from our team but I know she deserves this and she is still in town so we can keep up with how she is doing. " Stated Coach Parks.
