September 1, 2015. The lazy days of summer are now behind us--Time to do some serious planning for the Autumn running season! USATF Masters Long Distance Running has an extensive slate of National Championship events on the roads and on the cross country courses.

October 4, 2015 [Sunday]. Road 5K Championships at the Syracuse Festival of Races. Dave Oja, the Race Director, is renowned for putting on a Masters Runner-friendly event. Over 200 Masters runners, from Coast to Coast, from the Mountains to the Prairies, registered for Syracuse last year. They were rewarded with great weather and, as always, a fast course. Three national age group records were broken, including that for the Men's 60-64 group which had stood for 28 years! One of those record smashers, Jan Holmquist, is already signed up for another try. Come and add to the excitement!
