About Our Team
NEHS is a young team that has made an impact in Clarksville Track and Field and Tennessee Track and Field. In 2012 the Lady Eagles were undefeated in regular season meets and were Region 3 runner-ups. We qualified 4 athletes to the state meet in the 100h, 300h, LJ, Pent, HJx2, and Pent and were finalist in all the events but one. The successes of 2012 only put a hunger into the athletes that made them want to work harder for the 2013 season to reach the ultimate goal.
2013 was an awesome year for the Lady Eagles. Northeast Lady Eagles won the 2013. We were Region 3 Champions and TSSAA Girls Track and Field Championship. NEHS had 8 qualifiers to the state meet: Brittany Kelly (LJ, Pent, 100h, 300h, 4x400), Briana Kelly (HJ), Sonja White (Pent, 200, 400, 4x400), Rebecca Blackwell (PV), Erika Dunlop (PV), Daisia Frank (4x400), Danielle Craft (4x400), and Dominique Cooper (100h), and one Eagle, DeMoni Franklin (TJ). There were 5 individual state championship titles for 2013: 100h, 300h, HJ, LJ, & Pentathlon. We also saw finalist in the 200m, a second Pentathlete, and 4x400m relay.
We are continuing the success from the previous season with hard work and dedication and discipline. NEHS strives to prepare the student-athlete for leadership roles and prepare them to be successful in high school and beyond both on and off the field.
