Katie Hetzel - Cookeville
As a freshman, Katie Hetzel was a fringe varsity runner and ultimately was not selected to race at state for the Cavaliers. The snub only motivated her and she dropped three minutes and twenty seconds off her 5k as a sophomore and most recently finished 6th in the 3200m for Division I Class AAA in track. She returns as the #17 runner for the Class of 2025 but I have a hard time believing that's where she'll finish.
