Who says when fall comes to Knoxville its Football time in Big Orange country. Not here -- its cross country time. 2009 marked explosive growth in the area's elementary school cross country programs leading to over 500 elementary school runners participating in the ETHC / KTC Middle School - Elementary School cross country series. Couple this with another 600 middle school runners and Tuesday meets were a crazy affair. The 2009 season also saw two new courses - Cove Lake State Park and Hardin Valley Academy. Both locations proved to be great cross country venues along with Melton Hill Dam and the state course Victor Ashe Park.
The 2009 season also brought rain -- AND PLENTY OF IT. Noah would have had no problems floating the ark on some of the courses this fall.
