This race is sponsored by Collierville Schools and hosted by Collierville Middle Dragons XC and West Collierville Dragons XC. This is only for the six elementary schools in Collierville. The course is a one mile course at Johnson Park in Collierville Tennessee.

This is a card finish. A "card finish" for a cross-country race refers to a method of recording the finish order of runners as they cross the finish line. Each runner is handed a card indicating their place as they finish the race.
Here's how it typically works:
Finish Line: As each runner crosses the finish line, a race official or volunteer hands them a card with their finishing position printed on it. For example, the first runner would receive card #1, the second runner gets card #2, and so on.
Collecting the Cards: After receiving the card, runners go to their team's representative at the finish line to turn it in. The coach or official collects the cards and records the order for the team, often comparing it with official results later.
Scoring: For team scoring, the top five finishers from each team usually contribute to the overall score, with their finishing places added together (lowest score wins). Additional runners on the team act as "displacers," pushing opposing teams' scores higher by finishing ahead of their scoring runners.
This method allows race officials to quickly and accurately determine the placement of runners and teams.
