--40-45 + coaches would keep the meet at 50.

--Health screenings required: Visiting schools will be responsible for their own temperature checks of participating teams, coaches and their team party prior to leaving their campus to travel to their opponents campus. The home teams administration or coach should verify with the visiting teams administration or coach that proper temperature checks have taken place. The home team shall not be responsible for conducting temperature checks of the visiting team party.

--Teams (no more than 3-4 total) will have specific, pre-planned locations to set up tents on either the front field or soccer field, depending on course starting line.

--Revised course (TBD) that allows distance between runners throughout the race, avoid trails and small spaces.

Each race will begin in heats, with starts staggered by 5 or 10 min.

--Not all runners will start simultaneously; we will do a staggered heat system. More information TBA.

--Timing done through our timing service, A Matter of Timing, to assure fully automatic timing. This allows for results to be posted online immediately and for runners to clear the finish line area upon finishing.

Other TSSAA guidance:

Social distancing of at least 6 feet should be maintained at all times. No hugging, shaking hands, or fist bumps for support/encouragement.

Cross country meets should consider using staggered, wave or interval starts. Possible Rule Modifications 8-1-3a: Consider widening the course to at least 6 feet at its narrowest point.

Consider using finish corrals and FAT timing for larger meets as easier to distance at finish.

With no FAT timing system consider alternative means of finish place and time to address congestion at finish line.

Consider using image-based equipment at finish to assist with picking place to avoid congestion.

Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces and exercise equipment. Pregame and Postgame Ceremony

Establish cross country specific social distancing meet protocols including the elimination of handshakes before and after the match.
