***Temperature checks will be made near the Coures entrance for all spectators before being directed to parking. Spectators are encouraged to remain near their cars in order to maintain social distancing. Spectators are not allowed in the team/tent area, on the race course or on the start/finish area. Spectators will have access to the portable facilities. All athletes not in the current race should remain in the team area unless warming up or cooling down. Neither spectators nor noncompeting athletes will be allowed near the finish alley nor the finish chute. Spectators and athletes should not approach the timers tent. We will have a spaced start to maintain distancing as long as possible. Some packaged concessions will be availble. Donation jars will be placed near spectator areas to help with the costs of mowing and providing portable facilities.***

 Hull Crawford Cross Country Classic - September 3, 2020

Coaches Meet Information: Please read completely and understand these guidelines. If you have any

questions, please email Coach Blalock at blalockl@gcschools.net.

Failure to follow these guidelines could result in disqualification from

the meet.

In order to have the most

competitive and enjoyable meet possible, while taking reasonable precautions

for all Coaches and Athletes safety, every team will need to follow these

guidelines.

General Guidelines:

1.      Please

announce to your team and parents runners in the current race, coaches and meet

officials only will be allowed on the start/finish field. All others may

observe from outside this area.

2.      Only

Coaches/Managers, and athletes with a jersey and bib will be allowed on the

event starting field. Managers on the starting field are limited to one per

team and must be performing a task for the coach at the time they are on the

starting field. No watching/cheering from this area will be allowed.

3.      All coaches

and athletes are requested to wear a mask at all times, unless you are:

a.      Actively

warming up pre-race

b.      Competing

in the race

c.       Actively cooling down

4.      All members

of your team must stay in your tent area unless participating in one of the

above activities.

5.      Team tents may

be set up in the field near the starting area. Please maintain ample social

distancing between teams.

6.      Please

practice social distancing and safety at all times. In your tent area, abide by

your school system's protocols.

7.      NO VEHICLES

will be allowed to park except in the areas to which they are directed. Hay has

been cut. We will be using areas along the running trail to facilitate race

viewing. Donation jars will be placed in convenient locations. A suggested

donation of $3 will be appreciated. There will be no change available. Cars

will not be allowed to cross the course if racers are in sight.

8.      Portable

facilities are available at the end of the starting field and are limited.

Athletes are advised to dress in their uniforms before leaving their school.

9.      All

athletes/teams will need to bring their own hydration.

Race Day Entry:

1.      Please

register athletes correctly in Milesplit. If you have questions or changes

contactblalockl@gcschools.net

2.      Please complete the attached COVID-19 Form for every Coach, Manager, Athlete that

will be in attendance, as you load your bus, before you enter the meet. A thermometer will be available at check-in if you don,t have access to one. GCS uses 100.0 as the cut-off on temperatures.

3.      Entrance procedure:

a.      Present

your completed team form to the check-in tent (Green).

b.      Coaches

will receive their packets once submitted.

c.       Coaches may also pay at check-in.

d.      Changes may be made with Brian Buckner at the starters tent.

e.      Athletes

will be admitted with a uniform and bib pinned to the uniform. Once inside the

race area athletes must have their uniform and bib on, and bib visible.

Races:

1.      Schedule:

 

MS Boys Race @ 5:00 PM

MS Girls Race @ 5:20 PM

HS Boys Race @ 6:00 PM

HS Girls Race @ 6:25 PM

There will be no awards ceremony. Awards may be

picked up by coaches only. There will be plaques for the top 2 teams in each

race and medals for the top 10 individuals in each race.

2.      All chute

workers will wear masks and gloves. Runners will exit the chute as quickly as

possible and return to the team area.

3.      At the

starting line:

a.      Runners

will stay in their team behind the starting line. Social distance, as best you

can, from other teams.

b.      Teams may

go through their boxes to do run-outs and strides, but do not crowd the line.

At the start only 2 runners per team should be on the line. Others should be

spaced back at increments of 6 feet per every two runners as much as possible.

Coaches are expected to assist with the spacing of your team.

c.       Larger teams should please note the additional fees

for more than 21 runners in a race.

We hope you have a great experience at the THCCCC. We look

forward to a great and safe day of competition.



Traffic will be heavy. Come early and be patient. The course will

be open by 3:30. Races will not be delayed for late arriving teams so plan

ahead. We have implemented some new parking restrictions to help with traffic.

Your cooperation will be important to this effort. Please notify your patrons

PARKING INFORMATION - 

Access to the course for cars

is from the TN 70 Bypass (Asheville Hwy). Parking is restricted to designated

areas at the XC course. Coaches with equipment, meet officials, elderly and

handicapped patrons only will be allowed to park in a reserved area near the

start/finish area. You will be directed up the hill to a drive going out to

this area. All other cars will be directed to parking areas. Late arrivals will need to park near the Bypass.

NO ONE will be allowed to drive across the course during a race.

There will be a $3 per vehicleparking donation requested at the race site. No charge for coach parking.

Holston Home is a workingchildren's home.

Please DO NOT attempt to enter the Main Campus of Holston Homeor Beacon School. This presents security problems when outsiders enter thecampus.



ENTRY FEES:



High Schools:$10 per athlete, $35 per boys or girls team, Max $60 per High School for up to 21 entries per race.

Middle Schools: $10 per athlete, $35 per boys or girls team. Max $60 per Middle School for up yo 21 entries per race.

An Additional charge of $5 per athlete will be assessed for over 21 entries per division up to a maximum of an additional $25 per school.

High Schools and Middle Schools pay separate.

Make payment to Greeneville Shoestring Boosters Club.

Payment may be brought day of the meet.

Entries per school is unlimited

Awards:

Places 1-10 (All THCCCC Team)

Plaques to top 2 teams in each race.
