Meet Information
IMPORTANT!! In order to sign up for this meet as an individual/unattached athlete, you must have a current MileSplit account OR sign up for a FREE account. This is achieved by entering your valid email and creating a password. You will be prompted to "REGISTER" after you click the link to enter the meet. Fill in the email & password boxes and your account will be established!
Then, you will be able to begin the registration process. You will type in your name and locate yourself in the MileSplit database. Then, you must "CLAIM" yourself and MileSplit will verify that it is actually you claiming yourself. This step is vital and ensures that not just anyone can "CLAIM" you and enter you in meets or do other things on your behalf you don't authorize.

TN THROWS CLASSIC
Meet: TN Throws Classic (USATF sanctioned); Certified for NSAF Outdoor Nationals Qualification (formerly New Balance Outdoor Nationals)
Date: Saturday, June 20, 2020
Registration: 9:00 AM - 9:30 AM CST
Start Time: 10:00 AM CST (rolling schedule starting with Girls Discus)

Eligible Athletes: Tennessee 2020-2023 High School Graduates and invited out of state athletes.
Format: All throwers will get six (6) attempts. Depending on number of participants, minimum measurement standards may be established the day of the meet and may be required by throwers in order to get additional attempts measured after one (1) legal mark is achieved.
Events will run in sequence (i.e. Girls Discus, then Boys Discus, then Girls Shot, then Boys Shot).
Registration: Athletes may sign up under their associated high school teams, as Unattached, or via their respective Club. PLEASE READ THE REGISTRATION AND WAIVER MESSAGES ABOVE!!!
Entry Fee: $20.00 per athlete payable on day of the meet. Check or cash is acceptable. Make checks payable to: WADE & ASSOCIATES, LLC
Officiating: Expert level (officials have years of TN State Track meet throwing event officiating experience)
SAFETY: Please refer to the TN Pledge Access Guidelines for Noncontact Sports (https://www.tn.gov/governor/covid-19/economic-recovery/noncontact-sports.html) for further details about COVID-19 safety guidelines for this meet. Athletes will be required to answer CDC recommended COVID-19 screening questions AND to submit to a hands free temperature check in order to participate - no exceptions. Athletes and non-participant attendees will be asked to adhere to social distancing guidelines before and during competition. Spectators will not be allowed on the field of competition and will be routed to cordoned off viewing areas so as to prevent comingling with athletes, officials, or coaches. NOTE: MEET OFFICIALS WILL DISALLOW TOTAL MEET ATTENDANCE TO EXCEED 50 PERSONS (including athletes, coaches, spectators, officials).
A certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) will be present for the duration of the meet.
