This will be the first Invitational to be held at Warren County Middle School and will take place Wednesday, September 19, 2018. We are hoping to make this an annual event at our school! The cross country course at WCMS is a lot of fun and also very beautiful! The athletes will travel all around the school campus running a mixture of small hills (both up and down), across gravel, on the road, through the grass and onto a dirt trail with a wooden bridge to cross in the middle! The starting line and finish chute are both within the same area located behind the track between the shot put and discus area's. There will be no admission fee for spectators. We will be serving concessions, food and drinks, open to all who attend. There will be awards given out to the first 20 athletes, boys and girls, who cross the finish line (1st through 10th will get a medal and 11th though 20th will get a ribbon) and a separate award given to the winning boys team and the winning girls team overall.

Entry Fee Per School: $30.00 (Cash or Check on day of race payable to WCMS Cross Country)
Bus & General Parking: Buses and cars are to park in the front two parking lots of the school. The baseball field parking and the parking lot behind the track is OFF LIMITS as it will be in use during the race. Police will be located at each end of Caldwell St. in front of the school parking lots around 4:00 and will help direct all traffic to the right spot. The WCMS cross country team members will be waiting in front of the school for each team to arrive and will walk each of them down to the race starting line and show them where to start setting up.
Set-Up: Teams may set up tents and any other equipment in the marked grass spot located between the discus area and the finish chute. Spectators are advised to bring chairs as there is no seating at the starting line area. Spectators may sit in the marked off gravel section against the building OR on the home bleachers of the football stadium (you can see the runners on the whole back half of the course from here).
MS Girls race will start at 4:30 p.m.
MS Boys race will start at 5:00 p.m.
Team Awards will start at 5:30 p.m.
Results will be posted on here shortly after the race.
