Schedule of Events:
4:00: Coaches Meeting & Implement Weigh-In
4:30: Field Events Begin
Round 1: girls discus, boys shot put, girls high jump, boys long jump
Round 2: boys discus, girls shot put, boys high jump, girls long jump

6:00: Running Events Begin (girls followed by boys)
100 meter hurdles
4x200 meter relay
exhibition 4x200 meter relay (see Entry Restrictions)
1600 meter run
100 meter dash
400 meter run
4x100 meter relay
exhibition 4x100 meter relay (see Entry Restrictions)
800 meter run
200 meter dash
4x400 meter relay

Entry Restrictions:
1 scoring relay per school per relay event, plus one exhibition team for the 4x200 and one for the 4x100, to be run immediately after scoring heats of the same races are finished.
Limited to 4 athletes per team in each event
Athlete may compete in up to 4 events of any combination, including exhibition events.

Scoring:
Individual Events (top 8): 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
Relay Events (top 8): 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

Minimum Marks for Measurement: (NO minimum marks for ENTRY, but no measurement will be made if athlete comes short of given mark. Athletes may REQUEST a measurement on their LAST attempt if all previous attempts fell short of minimum mark.)
Girls Discus: 50

Throwing Events Procedures:
Throwing Implement Weigh-In:
o All implements must be weighed in and marked before use in competition. Any under-weight implements will be held at the timing table for teams to claim after throwing events have concluded.
o Legal-weight implements may be borrowed as needed.
o Throwers using un-weighed implements will be disqualified from competition.

Legal Implement Weights:
o Boys and girls discus: 1.0 kg
o Boys shot put: 4.0 kg
o Girls shot put: 6.0 lbs

Marking:
o A pin will be placed at the point of impact for each attempt. The pin will be moved if athletes successive attempts are better than their first attempts.
o One measurement will be made at the conclusion of the flight to record athletes best throws.

Attempts:
o Shot Put: 3 total
o Discus: 3 total

Heats: 8-12 athletes per heat

Jumping Events Procedures:
Reference Marks: NO CHALK; tennis balls and athletic tape may be used to set marks.

Attempts:
o Long Jump: 3 total
o High Jump: 3 per height

Heats:
o Long Jump: 10-14 athletes per heat.
o High Jump: single heat for each gender

Scratches/Substitutions:
Scratches/Substitutions must be made known at the conclusion of the coaches meeting.
Please note all scratches known at the beginning of the meet. This will prevent wasted time in calling athletes who dont intend to compete.
No Substitutions permitted after 4:45.
Absolutely NO new athletes added who were not on original registration.

Coaches Responsibilities:
Coach your athletes. We are working hard to minimize the amount of time we ask you to officiate. Be with your team and enjoy the meet!
A few of you will be asked to serve on the Games Committee. This group will review controversial incidents and issue rulings as needed. If you are interested in being part of the committee, please notify Ian Work (iwork@ccsk12.com) when you submit your registration.
Officiate a field event. We hope to have sufficient volunteers to staff most events, but field events often need an experienced coach to ensure that the event is run fairly.

Concession stand offers a wide variety of snacks and simple meals for purchase.
Full results sent to all teams and unattached individuals
Minimum officiating by visiting coaches (coaches may be asked to officiate a field event)

1st Place: 5x7 plaque, baton, implement carry bag
2nd Place: baton, implement carry bag
3rd Place: baton

Miscellaneous:
Please use 1/4 spikes or shorter.

Infield is reserved for coaches and athletes warming up
Spectators may congregate near the field events if they observe the safety boundaries, but they must stay off the track in deference to athletes who may be warming up or competing.
Scores and results will be periodically posted throughout the meet on the side of the concession stand.
Only coaches should request or challenge results.
