Caleb Morgan & Bailey Payne to compete for Bryan College

Cleveland, TN - Bryan College added another area athlete to its men's roster when they signed Walker Valley High standout Caleb Morgan. Morgan was named to the Chattanooga Times Free Press Cross Country All Area Second Team for 2005. He holds school records in the 800 and 1600 meter runs for the Mustangs. Earlier this winter he set an indoor personal best with a 4:38.70 mile at the Niswonger Invite held in Johnson City, TN.

"Caleb has the talent and ability to train at high levels, which I believe will lead to a very successful collegiate career," said Head Coach Rodney Stoker. "Our program has made another step in the right direction in signing our second area standout. It was a pleasure recruiting Caleb, as he comes from a great family and is working with some great coaches at Walker Valley."

"Things are going incredibly well for Bryan Cross Country, in every aspect. We are in the process of adding indoor and outdoor track, which will give our athletes more opportunities to train and compete. Our alumni backing is tremendous which creates growth and development for our school and program. And our current student-athletes are making great strides in their academics and athletics," Stoker continued.

Bledsoe's Bailey Payne Latest Signee for Lions

Bledsoe County High School senior distance runner Bailey Payne signed to compete for the Lions beginning with the 2006 cross country season. Payne has been the top athlete for the Bledsoe County cross country team the last three seasons. She finished 43rd at the 2005 Tennessee State Cross Country Championships after placing 8th in the Region 3 Championship.

"I'm excited for our program and for Bailey. She has a limited background with her training and is a great all-around athlete. Bryan College is lucky to land such a quality student and person. With her desire to do well and great work ethic, I believe Bailey has a great future at Bryan," said coach Rodney Stoker.
