Milligan College, Tenn. (Sept. 29, 2011) --- The Milligan College track and field program has announced that world-renowned shot putter Dylan Armstrong will return to campus
on Wednesday, Nov. 2, for the second annual Dylan Armstrong Shot Put Clinic.

Canada's Armstrong is fresh off his world championship silver medal performance in Daegu, Korea. In his outstanding career, Armstrong finished fourth at the 2008 Olympic Games, holds the Canadian National Record and captured the 2011 Diamond League title.

The clinic will begin at 4:30 p.m., at Anglin Field, and will feature one-on-one instruction with arguably the top shot putter in the world in 2011. The clinic is open to high school throwers, and will also feature a new coaches clinic featuring the area's top throws coaches. The coach's clinic will take place immediately after the instructional clinic at 7 p.m.

“This event was so well received in 2010, we wanted to make this an annual event,” Head Coach Chris Layne said. “We're honored to once again bring a professional athlete
of Dylan's caliber to our campus to benefit the region's athletes.”

Those interesting in attending should contact Milligan College throws coach Daniel Corriher (decorriher@milligan.edu). Registration is limited. The instructional clinic is free to high school throwers, and the coach's clinic, which is open to coaches at any level, will be $60 and includes dinner.
