Stiff Goes Back To Back
For the second year in a row, Mensi Stiff can call herself the Nike Indoor Nationals Champion in the shot put. The Ole Miss commit has not lost a shot put competition in her last fifteen competitions and has thrown over fifty feet in her last seven. Her 51 foot throw, though shorter than her distance at this event last season, was almost six feet farther than her next closest competitor with the icing on the cake being her photo included in a billboard slideshow of competitors at the event in Times Square this weekend.
When we caught up with Stiff at the Tennessee State Indoor Championships last month, she had a noticeable wrap supporting a lingering ailment on her leg. It appears as though that is no longer needed but I'll be curious to see how long it will be until we see her at an outdoor competition. Whether its next week or next month, as the caption alludes to below her photos, records will be on notice whenever it is she does debut.
