The OATCCC D2/3 Indoor State meet is set to kick off this Saturday and features some of the top track and field talents in the country. In preparation of MileSplit Ohio's livestream, click here to watch, our team has been looking over the entry list and found 10 athletes to keep an eye on.

Juliette Laracuente, a junior from Marengo Highland High School, is a jumping phenomenon. Laracuente has placed first in every jumping competition she's attended this season and is ranked #9 nationally in High Jump. Laracuente is looking to defend her state title in the long jump from the division 2 state track meet this past June.  


The Salem Girls 4x800 relay team is looking to break the 10:00 barrier at the meet and claim a first place finish. They come in as the #1 seed with a 10:03 and are currently ranked Ohio #1.

Braden Yingst, a senior at Lima Perry and Lipscomb University commit, wants to continue his winning senior year. Yingst took a first place finish at state cross country championship in the division 3 race. Yingst is looking to claim the indoor titles in the 1600 and 800 as he finished 2nd in the 1600 and 5th 800 at the division 3 state track meet. 

The Glenville Boys are looking to claim relay titles in both the 4x200 and the 4x400. They come in as the #1 seed for both the 4x200 with a 1:31.04 and the 4x400 with a 3:33.31.

Peyton Heitmeyer, a senior from Leipsic High School, is looking likely to dominate the 400. Heitmeyer is ranked Ohio #2 in the 400 with a 58.14. Heitmeyer is also looking to compete in the 60 and 200. 

Ayden Bath, a senior at Vermillion High School, is looking to hurdle his way into a first place finish. Bath is ranked Ohio #1 in the High Jump and #2 in the 60 Meter Hurdles. Bath is hoping to claim the indoor High Jump and Hurdle titles after placing 3rd in the High Jump and 110 Hurdles at the division 2 state track meet.

Colby and Dillon Morlock, brothers from Norwayne High School, are looking to throw themselves onto the podium. Both brothers are listed as top seeds in the Shot Put and Weight Throw. Colby is currently ranked as Ohio #1 in the Shot Put and #14th nationally and Ohio #2 in weight throw. Dillon is currently ranked as Ohio #1 for the Weight Throw and #12 nationally and #7 for Shot Put in Ohio.

Ryne Shackleford, a junior from Keystone High School, is looking to defend his state title in the Long Jump. Shackleford is currently ranked as Ohio #3 in the long jump and #13 in the 60 Meter Dash. Shackleford is only 1 of 2 athletes seeded to go below 7 seconds in the 60.

Kenna Stimmel, a senior from Margaretta High School and Virginia Tech commit, is a Pole Vault star. Stimmel is one of Ohio's all time best vaulters, being currently ranked as OH #1 and #9 nationally. Stimmel has yet to lose a pole vault competition this season and is the current division 3 pole vault champion.     

Amy Weybrecht, a sophomore at Gilmour Academy, is hungry for another state title. Weybrecht is already a state champion, having claimed the 800 title at the division 2 state track meet, and is looking to claim the 1600 title. Weybrecht comes in as the #1 seed for the 800 and the #2 seed for the 1600.
